Tim's Story

Timothy Muganzi Magambo was born in Kampala, Uganda on September 24, 2007. He lived a life that beautifully connected his African roots with his home in Pelham, New York. After spending his early years in Uganda and Rwanda, Tim moved to Pelham and began second grade at Colonial Elementary School. He went on to graduate from Pelham Memorial High School, where he was known for being kind and a natural leader. Whether he was serving as class president or helping other students, he had a special gift for making everyone feel important.

Tim brought joy to every group he joined. He studied Business Management and Finance at the University at Albany, where he became a key part of the club lacrosse team. He loved playing soccer and football, but his real impact came from the close friendships he made. He was a deeply loyal friend and a caring brother to Jonathan. His great sense of humor could make anyone feel better.

He had many different interests. He loved music and sports, and he was highly interested in investing in stocks and crypto. He enjoyed simple things, like eating at McDonald's or watching his favorite movies again. Most importantly, he loved to help others. He often traveled back to Uganda to bring supplies to children who needed them.

“Timothy passed away on May 16, 2026, at the age of 18. People will remember him for being warm, patient, and positive. He was someone who loved to talk and smile, and he truly cared about others. Tim's life reminds us all to be kind. His parents, Tom and Caroline, his brother, and his many friends and family around the world will miss him very much.”
